Concept
Each piece in this series is rooted in a specific place, a distinct memory,
and the emotional resonance of that moment in time. The botanical
prints are not decorative motifs; they are direct physical traces of a
landscape experienced firsthand. By embedding raw sand, ash, pig-
ment, and own imagery directly onto the wood panels, the work binds
memory to material, keeping a physical trace of a moment that would
otherwise fade.
Materials & Medium
Built upon deep wooden panels, the compositions integrate raw organic
matter and personal visual work:
Surface & Texture: Earth pigments, sand, raw ashes, and crayons combined
with acrylic paints to build a tactile ground.
Visual Imagery: Own imagery integrated into the surface alongside hand-
worked layers, creating a dialogue between the captured place and the
physical medium.
Aesthetic Intricate Botanical Traces: Dense lines, silhouetted grasses,
and plant structures record the complexity of nature.
Ethereal Grounding: Warm earth tones, charcoal, rust, and quiet grey
surfaces balance heavy raw textures with space for quiet reflection.
